How to Type Hindi in MS Word

To enable Hindi typing in Microsoft Office Word first you need to install the language on your Windows device. It's simple to install a Hindi language pack in your windows, you don't need to download it externally. The language package comes with Windows operating system package.

Follow all the steps below to enable Hindi typing in Microsoft Office Word.

Step 1: Open the Windows Settings option then click on the Time & Language and then Language > Add a preferred language

Step 2: Now type "Hindi" in the search bar and select the Hindi (हिन्दी) option, then click the Next button.

Step 3: After that click ✅ on the install language pack and click the Install button

Step 4: Now the installation of the languages package will be started immediately. After the installation is completed open Microsoft Office Word and press the Win + Space key on the keyboard and selects the Hindi keyboard using the Space key as shown in the screenshot below.

That's done.

Now you can type Hindi on your Microsoft Office Word document as well as in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and everywhere on your PC. Switch the default English keyboard to the Hindi keyboard [press Win + Space key, and select Hindi]
