Govindachandra Narayan Hansu was the last Kachari king at Khaspur (Cachar). He became king in 1814 AD and was defeated by the Manipuri king during 1819-24 AD. In 1824 he successfully reclaimed her throne. But. in 1832 AD finally British annexed the Kachari kingdom under the "Doctrine of Lapse" rule.
